AI Adoption & Enablement
Identify practical opportunities for AI, develop proofs of concept, establish appropriate knowledge and governance foundations, and help people understand how AI can improve the way they work.
Technology Transformation & AI Adoption Consultant
I help organisations improve the way people, processes and technology work together, from digital transformation and business change to Microsoft 365, knowledge management and practical AI adoption.

I've spent much of my career walking into situations where something isn't working as well as it should, understanding why, and then bringing together people, process and technology to improve it.
My career began in software development and CRM before moving into project and programme leadership, technology business management and large-scale transformation. Along the way I've built and led technology teams, managed transformation across 15 EMEA countries, improved struggling operational services, delivered technology change in highly regulated environments, and helped organisations make better use of the knowledge they already possess.
More recently, that work has increasingly involved AI. My focus is practical adoption rather than AI for its own sake: identifying where it can genuinely improve the way people work, putting the right knowledge and governance around it, and helping people understand and adopt the change.
That approach led me to develop Agent Lazarus, a Copilot Studio proof of concept built around a governed SharePoint knowledge environment to improve access to organisational knowledge, onboarding and day-to-day operational guidance.
Today, through Sentinel Digital Consulting, I work with organisations that need to turn technology investment into measurable business improvement, whether the starting point is AI adoption, digital workplace transformation, knowledge management, business change or a programme that simply isn't delivering as well as it should.
Technology transformation works best when the technology, the people using it and the business problem are considered together. I work across those boundaries, helping organisations move from an idea or problem to something that works in practice.
Identify practical opportunities for AI, develop proofs of concept, establish appropriate knowledge and governance foundations, and help people understand how AI can improve the way they work.
Turn business challenges into practical transformation programmes, connecting strategy with delivery and ensuring technology investment addresses genuine operational needs.
Improve how organisations create, manage and access information using Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, with emphasis on knowledge management, collaboration and AI-ready information environments.
Help people adopt new technology, processes and ways of working through stakeholder engagement, clear communication, practical guidance and change designed around the people affected by it.
Find where knowledge is being lost, duplicated or trapped in disconnected systems and processes, then simplify workflows, improve documentation and create more reliable sources of organisational knowledge.
Bring structure and momentum to complex initiatives through governance, stakeholder management, business analysis, risk management and delivery leadership, particularly across organisational boundaries.
A business-critical correspondence service was achieving just 59% of its response target, with complex approval routes, inconsistent responses and information spread across multiple sources.
I redesigned the approval model, improved access to approved organisational positions, introduced clearer ownership and worked with the team and subject-matter experts to improve quality and consistency. Technology improvements included a Power BI-based single source of truth and Salesforce workflow enhancements.
Result: performance rose above 80% in the first month and exceeded 95% within three to four months.
Rapid organisational change and staff turnover had left important operational knowledge fragmented across outdated procedures, individual experience and disconnected information sources.
I rebuilt operational guidance and created a governed SharePoint Knowledge Hub spanning key business functions. On that foundation I developed Agent Lazarus, a Microsoft Copilot Studio proof of concept for trusted information, process navigation, onboarding and operational guidance.
Result: a structured knowledge foundation capable of supporting both employees and AI-assisted access to controlled organisational information.
A multi-country transformation programme needed to reduce paper-based activity and modernise customer and operational processes while accommodating different regulatory, legal and business requirements across 15 EMEA markets.
I coordinated country leadership, business cases, financial and risk governance, approvals and delivery across the portfolio.
Result: digital statement capability was made available across all 15 countries alongside wider process digitisation and print-transformation initiatives.
Different organisations. Different technologies. The same principle: understand the real problem first, then use people, process and technology to solve it.
AI creates opportunities, but adopting it successfully involves much more than choosing a model or deploying another piece of software.
My interest in AI began with research into its wider implications for organisations, employment, governance and society. That research eventually became my book, AI, Nuclear Weapons, and Data - Shaping the Future of Humanity.
Professionally, my focus is on what happens when AI meets the realities of an organisation: its people, processes, knowledge, governance and existing technology.
That means identifying where AI could genuinely create value, understanding whether the organisation and its information are ready for it, testing ideas through practical use cases and proofs of concept, and ensuring people remain central to how the technology is introduced.
My development of Agent Lazarus using Microsoft Copilot Studio and SharePoint put that approach into practice, combining governed organisational knowledge with conversational AI to explore better ways of supporting employees, onboarding and operational guidance.
AI should make organisations and the people within them more capable — not simply more automated.
I'm available for consulting, contract and interim opportunities across technology transformation, AI adoption, digital workplace, business change and programme delivery.
Whether you're exploring where AI could genuinely add value, trying to improve how organisational knowledge is managed, introducing new technology or dealing with a transformation programme that isn't delivering as expected, I'm always happy to have an initial conversation about how I might help.
